Moira is a Maltese illustrator, lecturer, and researcher in digital arts. She grew up in Malta, studied in England, and has lived between Edinburgh and Malta, where she is currently based.
Her work focuses on people, their surroundings, and the curious, often overlooked details in between. She works across editorial, lifestyle, hospitality, and children’s publishing, using expressive line, texture, and narrative to focus on people, places, and the details that give them character.
Moira has received several awards from the Malta National Book Council and won the Kelpies Illustration Prize in Scotland. She is the founder of the Malta Community of Illustrators and is one half of Studio Meltdown.
